FAQ

Electrohms (offers) support for all products in the manufacture range at present and also provide customized products from the design stage to manufacture.

How is the minimum and maximum value of burden resistors determined?

The minimum resistor value is set to protect the output power stage of the transducer due to thermal runaway. This can be 0 Ω for some transducer types determined by the maximum operating power supply voltage.

The maximum resistor value is set to allow a specified current/voltage measurement range for the transducer. It depends on supply voltage temperature and selected maximum burden resistance value. The minimum and maximum values of burden resistances are specified in the respective datasheets. In case you need values out of the range specified on the datasheet of the transducer, please contact us with operating temperature range, power supply voltages with tolerances, nominal & maximum input values.
